Shoot Outtakes
We had a crazy last week shooting all the new items for the shop. Any etsy shop owner knows the amount of time and care that goes into creating, shooting, and promoting your work to the interweb audience. We are so excited and proud of all our hard work last week.
Here's a few teaser photos. Video coming soon!

Sass+Bide 2012 RTW
If I was the coolest of the cool of all the cool girls I'd be sporting Sass & Bide. This Australian label grabs me every collection with their innovative mix of color, pattern and texture. So hard to choose which photos to post from their Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection.
Style.com: The seed of the collection was opposing forces, and in a single look you might find some amalgam of tiny burnished silver sequins, a navy and white batik polka dot, bright silk, a bit of neoprene or metallic leather, and a dash of tribal beading.

WOW
I love patterns + prints! It's part of the reason I enjoy fashion so much.
And I am especially appreciating how these prints were incorporated into the set of the Twenty-Seven Names winter 2012 lookbook. Enjoy!

Deborah Turbeville
Beauty, grace, melancholic, strong female presence; these things come to mind when looking at the award winning work of fashion and art photographer Deborah Turbeville. A collector of Turbeville's work, Donna Karan discusses her iconic photographs and her legacy. One talented woman discussing the work of another amazingly talented woman. Definitely worth the read.

Pop-Up Shop Success
Last weekend I hosted the first ever Paper Foxes Vintage pop-up shop in Austin, TX. It was a lot of work for just me alone, but once everything came together Saturday morning I couldn't be more pleased and proud of what I'd produced. I definitely want to expand on the pros and cons of having a physical store vs. a virtual store, but I will save that for a future date. I'm also making plans to move the one-day-only event to Dallas, TX. I'll keep you posted.
My very talented friend Elise was generous enough to devote her time and talent to the day and made this little video of the shop. Just a note: there was a good amount of down time, hence the dancing.

Alexa
Alexa Chung is adorable (I think everyone that's a fan already knows this).
I love this photo shoot of her for Harper's Bazaar.
Black and white, pops of bright colors, reminiscent of 60's french films, effortlessly cool.
